Day 277. Cards in order of appearance: Fighting, Sorrow, The Miser, Transformation, Integration, Trust, Courage, Beyond Illusion, The Rebel, Experiencing, Washing Machine

The Beach Context

As the weather grows warmer for us, we get inundated with snow stuff.  As we head into the festive season, the white Christmas I think of is going to the beach (white sand can pass for snow if you squint 😏).  Fortunately, today was a public holiday celebrating the Queen of England’s existence (birthday).

Although I suspect we should be doing ceremonies as we did once upon a time, since the prohibition of personally owned fireworks, it’s simply become an opportunity to spend time with yourself.

In typical Aussie style, we celebrated an unseasonal hot October day at the beach! The feeling of sand between your toes and seawater on your skin – beautiful! It was invigorating and very satisfying for the soul.

Today's Cards

The Cards - The Beach Analysis

Comment

Following yesterday’s accident, I shuffled the cards well.  And the exciting thing about it is Fighting, of all the cards, was a newcomer to yesterday’s dealing and even with the high probability of cards used yesterday appearing one of the two non-repeated cards followed to today.  What do I read into that?  Don’t know!  It was just something to ponder.  🤔

Carryover Cards

One card carried over from yesterday; Fighting moved from Influence to Now.

Cross

So, the internal struggle represented by Fighting yesterday became today’s focus.  However, I don’t think that’s the struggle today; it’s more about utilising the day’s break from work and going to the beach.  Sadly, it would be a perfect opportunity to dedicate the entire day to writing and web development.

On the one hand, there’s additional time, and on the other, there’s the need to take a break.  Being the Year of the Ox or Year of the Cow (as I prefer), equilibrium is the key.  So, beach it was – for a short time, at least.  Thus, being under the influence of Sorrow as the internal debate occurred.

The Miser in the Goal position comes as no surprise because it was my Goal to be stingy with beach time and a little more dedication to extracurricular “work”.  And all of this stems from a Transformation in the Distant Past.  Seriously, there are so many I cannot point to a single incident of relevance.

After all this time, I’m still trying to balance new activities and assimilate exercise into the mix for full Integration that has happened in the Recent Past.

Future Energy is all about Trust and letting go of the sorrowful concepts that cause the internal battle, which puts me on edge.

Base

I know it’s not a big thing to decide whether to go to the beach or stay home and look at a computer screen, but for me, it required Courage.  At least, I felt (Feelings) I needed to have the Courage to get out in a swimsuit.

Maybe Others’ Views is that I’m getting Beyond Illusion to keep pace with the activities I’ve set myself.  Consequently, going for a swim and enjoying the fantastic weather is a reflection of this decision.

Once again, we are at Hopes & Fears and The Rebel.  When reading about The Rebel, Osho’s book begins his description with him (The Rebel) “being the master of his destiny”.  Being the kind of person striving to do so, I’m hoping for this to be real.  Conversely, not having any control is one of my biggest fears.

Finally, the Outcome is all about Experiencing life.  If my near-death experience taught me anything, life is about the experience (and personal growth).  Going to the beach and Experiencing both it and the joy of the website’s challenge is the joy of living.
