Context

Welcome to Day 87!

Today “visitor sickness” kicked into full swing.  My husband and I both had a list of chores we wanted to get done.  The main priority for me was to get the study ready for guests.  This will mean moving my computer out of the room and somewhere else in the house.  I’m eyeing off a corner in the living room.  There’s a part of me that has also been thinking of using the garage for office space.  It will require some lift and shift and a whole lot of elbow-grease.

Our house isn’t a large house and the intention when we purchased it was to have a flat/ unit on a block of land.  The aim was to keep gardening activities to a minimum.   It’s funny that we both enjoy plants and greenery. Sadly, we also know that we tend to find other things to do rather than garden.

By the end of the day, we had smashed the to-do list and then some!  Like the end of any productive day our feet hurt from the running around.  Once again, the ankle the which had been broken had swollen up.  One Epsom salt foot bath later and the foot was looking much better.

It’s can be a pretty uneventful post when things go smoothly 😇. Most of the time, through the day, I get a sense of what I might write about in the post.  Not today.

For the most part, the anxiety felt over yesterday’s physio visit has left me – it’s more parked until Monday (business hours).  Tomorrow, I’ll follow up on the physio’s position on when I can go for a swim.  Depending upon my sense for the situation and dynamic will depend on whether I apologise.

Yes, yes. Yesterday, my advice to myself was apologise if possible.  Sometimes, raising an issue if there isn’t an issue turns it into an issue.   It might be wiser to wait until the next physio visit before saying anything.  Of course, this would mean waiting or patience.  Patience is a skill I feel I possess. Whether others perceive me to have this skill is, of course, up for debate. For instance, hopefully my husband won’t be eating or drinking when he reads this because he’s likely to spray whatever it is over the floor as he bursts out with laughter 🤭.

Well, short one for Context today.  Let’s see what the cards have to say!

The Cards - Analysis

No cards were carried over.

In the Now position is The FoolThe Fool in the Osho tarot is about continual trust in people.  A trust that survives abuse and endures despite the world’s attempts to crush it.  However, to go on trusting when evidence against trust is strong is what The Fool card is about.  The power of The Fool’s trust is resilience and then resilience becomes compassion.  Maybe this is referring to my belief that I have wronged the physio – a trust in my feeling.

Influencing The Fool is Control.  Almost The Fool’s opposite. Where The Fool is about trust, Control is about the legal correctness of the situation.  It’s about enforcing a rule that, in this case, might not apply.  Looks like even though I thought I had moved on from yesterday’s situation, the cards indicate it’s still very much on my mind.

The Goal is to break away from Conditioning.   Control is about conditioning and The Fool is about breaking away from conditioning.  Not by fighting it but by simply trusting.

In the Distant Past, is RebirthRebirth looks very much like ConditioningConditioning is about breaking away from sheep clothing and being a lion and Rebirth has a lion with a youth playing a flute “taming the beast”.   My best guess as to the card’s presence is that Rebirth is when the cast came off my ankle and engaging the physio was necessary to bring the ankle back to life – a sort of Rebirth.

More recently in the Recent Past is the card of Guidance.  It’s about listening to what is right for me to do.  That is, what I can live with and follow that.  Asking the question, “can I live with this?” is a good way find out what my inner guidance is telling me.  Guessing this is the “do I or don’t I say something?” question.

Future Energy has the card of No-thingnessNo-thingness is the unmapped landscape that requires a road and you can put the road anywhere.

Unsurprisingly, Schizophrenia or trying to control two competing thoughts at once, in the Osho deck, sits in the Feelings position.  Because I’m a bit over talking about the same topic didn’t think it was that big a deal.  Yesterday, there was no doubt in my mind as to whether to apologising.  Then what I was thinking was articulated by my husband on whether to even raise it.

Others’ Views of events both today and yesterday has the Exhaustion card in it.  Kindly identifying a source for them at least for the situation.

My Inner Hopes & Fears has the card of CompletionCompletion in this position, says that I would like to put the moment behind me and move on.  My fear is that I won’t be able to do that easily.

The Outcome of the day is Patience. It appears that the recommendation, from my card perspective is telling me to wait.  I can do that.
